Building a Better World Together: Our Commitment to Social Responsibility and Environmental Stewardship

Handmade and ethically made furniture offers unique, high-quality, and sustainable pieces that promote fair trade and support local artisans, making them an excellent choice for environmentally conscious and socially responsible consumers.

Centuries of tradition with modern influence are used to create delightful handcrafted pieces that benefit both you and the artisans. We're committed to reducing plastic and non-biodegradable materials in our products, ensuring a cleaner environment.

The timber used is responsibly sourced from regulated and certified forests, supporting community-based forestry. Embrace the natural characteristics of wood like timber movement, knots, and colour variations, as they add to the uniqueness of each item.

The wood used is from commercial regenerative plantations - for our solid mango furniture, the wood comes from trees that have finished their commercial life producing mangoes.  This means that the artisans are effectively using waste material that would otherwise have to be burnt to make room for new saplings. All the timber is EUTR compliant with regard to responsible forestry and all the paint and other finishes are lead-free.

The products we sell are not soulless mass-produced pieces, but living ecosystems with a story to tell. Your purchase supports artisans and their families, revitalizing dying arts and communities.

We want you to be happy with our carefully designed and crafted products. Buy solid wood furniture with confidence in our online home furniture shop and rest assured you are helping artisans to make a living doing what they love.

Enjoy your new furniture and let it become a cherished part of your home!

Socially Compliant Factories

Our supplier's factories have undergone a Social Audit by a respected assurance company and have been awarded BSCI-compliant certification that shows they look after the workers and their rights.

Child labour is not employed in the factories and they are also constantly monitoring their suppliers to ensure they do not either.

A safe and secure working environment is a priority for us and we partner only with companies that have the same work ethics.
